Help Yourself :)

Have you ever done things you dislike doing and are coaxed to do..... or something you wouldn't have done otherwise???

I never really did.... Stubborn to the T!!! Though i do remember a couple of occasions when i have done things unwillingly simply cuz i didn't want to upset or hurt the person concerned.
Forcing is something i am dead against.... be it with regard to just anything!! And when i am forced to do or not do certain things, it blows my top..... i get irritated... angry... sometimes very very rude!

Yes, one good thing is ,i don't raise my voice or scream or yell or fight..... don't find anything more foolish than that! But there have been a couple of instances when i guess i was a bit too harsh in my response! :-( Didn't like it. Wanted to change.... can't always change the situation... and not always will the other person understand my view point (may be wrong- may be right!)

So there! came up with my 'self help' mantra... ;)..... Any time am so totally pissed and ready to blast anyone who shows up in front.... i just dis-connect myself for a couple of minutes... get involved in some other stuff.... preferably stay away frm others.... wonder n ponder n think n re-think...listen to a song i enjoy listenin to ;).... n wen i do get bc to wer i left, my response is a lot milder! :).... may sound silly to you but it works for me!! :-)

One lesson i learnt is... " I.. ME.. MYSELF.. MY LIFE.. MY DREAMS.. MY NOTIONS.. WHO THE HELL CARES ATTITUDE..." don't always make a happy ending!! Be it out of force or compulsion... one adjustment here n there at times and with a smile can create wonders! :))

Helping myself.... trying to correct my flaws and come up with solutions that eventually make everyone around me and 'me' reasonably happy :) Living... Learning... n Liking it! :)

Its all about FAITH!!

I have this conversation with God every single day .... very private.. very personal.... its my way of what is called 'praying'. Am not the sort who regularly goes to temples to worship the Deity but i respect and worship HIM in my own way!

I have this friend , a very sweet girl, who prays to her 'Allah' religiously.

Am sure each of us do it in our strong way!

Recently heard a few educated minds talk on Religion. 'Religion' as per the dictionary goes is- the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power esp a personal God or Gods.

So does it really matter who or which Lord i worship and how???

Shouldn't it completely be an individual choice especially in a country like ours that claims to be the biggest 'free-will' nation!

We don't choose our religion, we are born with it. And, even if we do at a later stage why should it raise so many eyebrows?? All religions preach Goodness and humanity. A particular religion may appeal to me more than the others... Nothing so gravely wrong in it!!

A good man, at the end of the day ,is a Good man! Why judge him on aspects so irrelevant!

Sad that something as simple and private as 'religion' is today the cause of terror and a million innocent lives! What is even more unfortunate is that most of us who claim to be the sensible, educated lot somewhere draw a line between them.

High time we understand that a 'prayer' offered in any which language, attire or way is nothing but the most sincere form of that individual's faith.... faith in God and his Religion.

And the least we can or rather should do is RESPECT it!!

I soo sincerely hope that a day will come when people look for their child a bride/groom who is not a hindu or muslim bt just someone very nice!! :) I definitely will..when the time comes!! :)

Be it 'bindi' or 'hijab'......... Christ or Allah...... Lets just all live in peace and have nothing but goodwill for everyone around!! :)..... That is what the Gods really want us to do!! :))

But surely something worth a million dollar smile!! :-D

Just enough to go out n eat wat i like ;)

and to buy me something thats pretty and nice!!

Feels good to have some dough which you can finally call your own,

Hehe ..am richer today .. for my bank balance has grown!! :-))

God bless the gentleman whom i call my 'boss',

So he can keep giving me some of it n soon i hit a jackpot!! ;)

For now, am happy... happy with the cheque i have.

Fragmented Dreams...

A well made movie leaves quite an impact!! Was watching 'Taare Zameen Par' last night.. am sure none of us has given it a miss! The punch line of the movie says "Every child is special."

Just made me think.... how very sad and devastating it must be to the parents who are born with mentally challenged or differently abled children! After all, all that one wishes for is to have a baby whose away from all the problems.... healthy in every way!

No joy for sure can match 'parenthood'. To see your child grow at every phase till birth and hold him in your arms must be overwhelming and equally shattering would be to see her/him not respond normally!!!

From teaching them to stand to bringing them to a stage where they can walk independently long after their loved ones are gone.... understand every word they whisper... every thought they try to convey.... a hundred worries... a hundred hurdles.... and still be patient through it all!!!

Wonder how can God be so unrewarding to someone!!

.. sometimes for no fault of theirs and sometimes for reasons beyond them!!...

A Big Bow to all these special stars and to their parents..... HATS OFF!!!

Changing Times.... or may be Changing with Time!! ;-)

-From Dadar to Dharwad and now all settled in Hubli!

-My Karnataka registered no which i thought would go in the bin no sooner i was done from here now fills in my permanent 'call me at' column!

-Still trying to catch up with the kannada conversations that go on at home... sometimes i get them right n sometimes i pick up the 'highlights'...;)

-My 8am alarm has now changed arms to 6:30 am! :(..

-I enjoy cooking which used to be like once-in-6months!!... n now there are more of enjoyment activities than before! ;)

-Loved the weekends in bombay.... malls.. multiplexes.. mega hotels... n now i go off from home for weekend get-a-ways!!

From NO responsibilities to MORE responsibilities... 4 months up and Life s changed starting from the 'name'!!!

And, believe it or not.. its been just as good as biting on a piece of cake!!! :-)))

Not every change sounds or looks good but guess all that it takes to 'click' is the rite attitude!!
